- 2¼ teaspoons instant yeast
- ¾ cup warm milk
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 1 egg
- ¼ cup melted butter
- 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
- 1 tablespoon red food coloring
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 3 tablespoons softened butter
- 4 oz cream cheese
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Mix warm milk, yeast, and sugar. Let sit until foamy. Add egg, butter, cocoa powder, red color, salt, and flour. Knead into soft dough and let rise until doubled.Roll dough into a rectangle. Spread softened butter and sprinkle cinnamon sugar mixture evenly. Roll tightly into a log.Slice into rolls and place in greased baking dish. Let rise again until puffy. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20–25 minutes.Beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Spread frosting over warm rolls and serve fresh.
